Online Casinos Ratings - Planet Hollywood May Become Vegas Style Casino

Planet Hollywood is planning on making some drastic changes to its image. Recently, the famous restaurant and Hollywood paraphernalia shop has applied to obtain the license of a Philadelphia casino. And the location for the proposed $380 million casino would be the northern Delaware riverfront.

The plans adhere closely to the Philadelphia Gaming Advisory Taskforce recommendations, which were released on October 27th, 2005. The development of the casino on the potential Planet Hollywood and Schuylkill Expressway sites is supported by the advisory. The city committee believes that the casino will ultimately have a positive impact on the surrounding area.

A casino developer application from Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc., is expected, and the city awaits detailed plans of the actual casino site and resort building in order to come to a final decision. 'You could have a bad location with a really good proposal, or you could have a really good location ... with a really bad plan,' Micah Mahjoubian, the task force operations director, said. 'We first have to wait and see what the proposals are, and the city should evaluate each of the proposals when they come out.' Additionally, the task force, along with making site recommendations, recommended that the city eliminate tax incentives for casino development and establish a gaming commission. Planet Hollywood fans will anxiously await the decision of whether or not their favorite restaurant chain will become a casino.
